Open Graph

A meta-tag protocol that controls how your link looks when shared — the title, description and image in the preview card.

Open Graph is a set of og: meta tags, originally from Facebook, that most platforms now read to build a rich preview when someone pastes your link. Get them right and your link unfurls into a branded card; get them wrong and you get a bare URL.

The core tags

<meta property="og:title" content="Your page title" />
<meta property="og:description" content="One clear sentence." />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://yoursite.com/og.png" />
